Educational Qualification:
- As on 01-08-2025, candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th class) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates must provide proof that their qualifying exam results announced on or before the cut-off date.

Nationality/Citizenship:
- Candidates must be:
- Indian citizens, or
- Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, or
- Refugees of Tibetan origin who came to India before 1st January 1962, or
- People of Indian origin have moved from countries like Pakistan, Burma, and Sri Lanka. They plan to live in India permanently.
- (Non-Indian nationals must produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.)

- Applications must be submitted online through https://ssc.gov.in or via the my SSC Mobile App.
- First-time applicants need to fill out a new One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website. The OTR from the old website is not valid.
- The system suggests Aadhaar-based authentication but does not require it.
- Candidates must take a live photo when they submit their application.
- Candidates who have Aadhaar authentication can upload photos; others cannot.
- You should scan the signature in JPEG format and ensure it is 10-20 KB in size.
- Ensure correct information and preview before final submission.
- Print and retain a copy of the final application.

Experience in the Area and Limit:
No prior experience is required for either post. Freshers who meet the educational qualification and age criteria are welcome to apply.
Pay Scale and Salary Structure:
Both the posts of MTS and Havaldar fall under Pay Level-1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, which is:
- Pay Band: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900
- Grade Pay Equivalent: Level 1
Additional benefits include:
- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- Dearness Allowance (DA)
- Transport Allowance (TA)
- Pension under the National Pension System (NPS)
Selection Procedure:
- For MTS: Only Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
- For Havaldar: CBE + Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
CBE Pattern:
- Two sessions conducted on the same day
- Objective-type, MCQs
- No negative marking in Session-I, but 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer in Session-II
PET/PST for Havaldar:
- Male: Walk 1.6 km in 15 mins; Height: 157.5 cm; Chest: 81 cm (+5 cm expansion)
- Female: Walk 1 km in 20 mins; Height: 152 cm; Weight: 48 kg
